“Obraz” TV Company, with the participation of the “Cooperation” Fund to Support Humanitarian and Educational Initiatives, continues to work on a video project called “Our Way.” The project is dedicated to the Orthodox educational establishments in the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolitanate.

On November 17, the filming took place in the Diveyevo monastery school.

“Their Way” project and its creators are aimed to explain that the main goal of the Orthodox schools isn’t the transfer of knowledge to a child in the subjects taught at regular schools. They should aim to be facilitators of the child’s holistic personal development based on the Orthodox worldview and classical traditions of the Russian culture.

The Diveyevo monastery school is a success story that supports this idea. The school founded the Museum of Courage thanks to the mutual effort of its teachers and students. The kids work on theatrical performances prior to important Orthodox feasts and present famous literary works. The school’s choir is working actively and V. T. Spivakov’s Fund has shown interest at supporting its activities. For the second year in a row, the school presented the project called “The Memory Knows No Limits” using grant funding, and within its  framework, the children hold fundraising events and concerts. Besides, through travel, they learn about new people and places while discovering their country.
