On the eve of the Feast of the Laudation of the Mother of God, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated Matins with the reading of the Akathist in the Christ the Savior Cathedral Church in Moscow.

On the eve of the service, this icon from the cell of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov was delivered to the altar of Christ the Savior Cathedral from the church of the Vladimirskaya Icon of the Mother of God at the Patriarchal Residence in Chisty Lane, where it is permanently located.

After singing praises in the Vladimirskaya Icon church at the Patriarchal Residence, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill carried the venerated icon to the Christ the Savior Cathedral.

The Seraphim-Diveyevo icon was greeted by bishops, clergy and parishioners.

It was placed at the analogion in the center of the Cathedral.

At the end of Matins service, clergy and faithful worshiped the venerated icon of the Mother of God.

During the day of April 20, the icon will remain in the Christ the Savior Cathedral.
