The Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery is the part of the “Family Traditions” project

As part of the project the “Family Traditions” project, a video clip about the history of the Diveyevo monastery was filmed today at the monastery grounds.

The project called “Family Traditions” is organized by the “Cooperation” Fund to Support Humanitarian and Educational Initiatives with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

During the period of December 12-19, 2020, the project organizers will hold a range of events. They will be aimed at developing an interest in the German and Spanish speaking foreign audience to study the Russian language after watching the project’s programs about the spiritual and moral education in the Russian families. Germany and Spain both have large local groups belonging to the Russian diaspora as well as a lot of bilingual families where one parent is a Russian speaker. The viewers will be invited to make a virtual trip to Russia where they will be able to learn about the family celebrations of the Nativity of Christ and how the families spend their weekends.

The organizers of the project selected the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery as a symbol of the Orthodox faith and the place where the Russians often travel as a family.
