October 1 is a patronal feast at the monastery’s hospital church consecrated in honor of the “Healer” icon of the Mother of God. Vespers with the akathist, the vigil service, prayer service to the Moth Holy Mother of God with the blessing of water, and Divine Liturgy were served at the church. 

Years ago, a wooden church of Transfiguration and a cemetery were located there. Due to the construction of a secondary school during the Soviet times, the church building was demolished while the cemetery was destroyed. 

The school building was fully renovated between 2004 and 2008. Its northern wing was remodeled to accommodate a hospital church. During the Great Lent of 2009, the artists Maksim and Irina Mironov from Moscow began to paint the interior of the church. 

On October 1, 2008, at the feast of the icon of the Mother of God “Healer,” Archbishop Georgiy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas consecrated the church after this holy image.
