It is customary to share the joy about the risen Lord with one another during the bright days of Pascha. So today, on the last day before the Leavetaking of Pascha, the students from the Sunday school of the Melyaevsky skete visited the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery. During the concert, the children performed the songs and poems dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ, Motherland, love, and friendship.

The young performers performed before the elderly sisters residing in the almshouse of the Diveyevo monastery. Hegumenia Sergiya, the abbess of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery, came to share the Paschal joy with the children. As a gift from matushka hegumenia, each young artist was presented with a box of chocolates.

After the performance, the children and their parents venerated the relics of the monastery, prayed at the Holy Kanavka, enjoyed the festive outdoor decorations, and took a dip at the Kazan spring.

The sisters of the Meleyaevsky skete pay great attention to children’s choir singing. The local children’s choir takes part in the Sunday liturgy and prepares the concert programs for the church feasts. Nun Onisima (Ovsyannikova) is in charge of the children’s choir.
