The Holy Church ceremoniously glorifies today all Heavenly Bodiless Powers led by Archangel of God Michael. From the Holy Scripture we learned that the Lord, before creating the visible world, has created the invisible spiritual world made of pure bodiless Angels who outnumbered several times the number of people.

The heavenly host possesses various gifts, services, and it is divided into hierarchies. Apostle Paul in his epistles mentions the Thrones, Dominions, Powers, Authorities, Principalities, Archangels, and Angels. We had also been revealed the name of several among the highest of the Archangels. The Archangel at the head of the Heavenly Host is Michael. He is also the guardian of people of God chosen first and later of New Israel, the Church of Christ. The name of the second Archangel is Gabriel. He is God’s messenger. He was the one who explained to Prophet Daniel the meaning of visions of future events in the world, and announced to the Holy Virgin the news of the birth of the Savior, and proclaiming to Zechariah the news of the birth of St. John the Baptist.

The Angels are zealous of the glory of God and extermination of evil. To serve God and the people brings utmost joy to them.
