Beginning from 1992, the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery holds an old calendar new-year procession with the cross at the Holy Kanavka. 

The participants of the procession proceed along the Kanavka in prayer and with faith that no request ever exists, mundane or not, that the Mother of God would not satisfy to the glory of Her Son.
