Each year, before the feast of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, the students of the choir department at the “Pokrov” Church Worker Training Center (CWTS) named after Metropolitan Nikolai (Kutepov) of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese arrive to Diveyevo.

The young women assist the sisters busy with various obedience duties on the eve of the Father Seraphim’s remembrance day festivities. They also help out the nuns at choir singing obedience: under the direction of their own choir director Tatiana Kostrova, the student choir directors sing at the Divine Liturgy and the evening services. Their choir sings brightly and joyfully, as the students have already mastered their trade, capable of getting the theological thought across to worshipers.
