Bishop Sergiy of Buturlin and Borisoglebsk presided at the services
On November 8, Bishop Sergiy of Buturlin and Borisoglebsk presided at the prayer service with the Akathist to Venerable Seraphim of Sarov and the Divine Liturgy held at the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery’s Trinity Cathedral.
After liturgy, Bishop Sergiy spoke in his homily about the Gospel passage of Christ calming the storm. His Grace noted that “each of us has been through some distress in our lives and how it feels at times that there is no more strength left to endure it anymore. However we have to be reminded that the Lord is always near us. We ought to keep our spirits up believing that the Savior protects us and He is always ready to stretch His helping hand.”
His Grace Bishop Sergiy presented the icon of the holy Passion Bearers Boris and Gleb, the heavenly patrons of his diocese, as a gift to the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery.
