On the day of the Deposition of the Holy Cincture of the Mother of God celebrated today, the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery held a prayer service with an akathist to Venerable Seraphim of Sarov and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.

Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl, abbot of the Kiev Caves Lavra, concelebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with the Metropolitan Georgiy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas and Bishop Elijah of Balakhna, Vicar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese.

Participants of the first All-Russian Deaconate Art Festival and students from the Diveyevo monastery Orthodox school prayed at the liturgy.

At the end of the liturgy, Met. Pavel expressed his joy over the continuing process of beautification of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery and particularly emphasized the work done by Metropolitan Georgiy, Hegumenia Sergiya and sisters of the monastery to achieve it.
