On the day commemorating the Holy Apostle James and Venerable Sebastian of Karaganda, His Grace Bishop Benjamin of Rybinsk and Danilov presided at the prayer service with the akathist to Venerable Seraphim the Wonderworker of Sarov and the Divine Liturgy in the Trinity Cathedral.

Hegumenia Zosima (Polkovnik), abbess of the Klintsy’s Holy Dormition monastery of Bryansk Metropolitanate, attended the services.

At the end of the liturgy, Hegumenia Sergiya (Konkova) thanked His Grace for his prayers and wished God’s help in his archpastoral work presenting him with a propshora bread and the icon of the Vision of the Mother of God to Venerable Seraphim at the spring.

In return, His Grace Bishop Benjamin expressed gratitude to Hegumenia Serigya for the opportunity to serve in the holy Diveyevo monastery by the relics of the Wonderworker of Sarov.

His Grace reminded about the Gospels reading at today’s liturgy (Luke 10:16-21). He paid special attention to words of advice the Lord offered to the apostles: “Rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” These words are directed to us as we received the grace of baptism and are united through the mystery of Communion with the Lord Himself.
