The grand opening of the conference “The Legacy of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov as a foundation of sacrificial service” took place this morning in the conference hall of the pilgrim center of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery.

Bishop Seraphim of Istra, vicar of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the head of the Synodal youth department, addressed the participants via video link.

Next, reports were presented about the activities organized by volunteers. With some of the participants of the volunteer competition and their activities, the participants were able to get to know each other thanks to the movie made by the TV company “Icon.”

In the afternoon, the participants spoke about their volunteering projects in “Social Service” and “Outreach” small group discussions.
