Today, the hockey teams from Kazan and St. Petersburg headed by Vyacheslav Ryabov, president of ball hockey federation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region visited the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery.

On July 14, the hockey players will take part in the IV Inter-diocesan sports festival of the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolitanate held on the grounds of “Champion” sports and recreation complex in Vyezdnoye, Arzamas district, Nizhny Novgorod region. The festival received blessing of Metropolitan Georgiy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas and is timed to the 80th anniversary of passing of Patriarch Sergiy (Stragorodsky), a native of Arzamas.

The hockey players toured the monastery, walked the Holy Kanavka and venerated the relics of the Diveyevo saints.
