A film crew from the Mordovian TV station worked in the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery today. Journalist Elena Reshetnikova and cameraman Stanislav Semin were there to film a documentary about the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov by order of the central state archive of the Republic of Mordovia.

The film called “Seraphim the Wonderworker” is a part of the large project “My Joy” developed by the central state archive of the Republic of Mordovia and supported by the Presidential fund for cultural initiatives.

As part of the project, the documents about Venerable Seraphim of Sarov are identified and digitized; video content is created about the exhibits, archival documents and memorable places about him; a photo album “Oh, Sarov, Sarov! The academy of Monasticism” is planned to be published; an essay competition “The patron saints of my family” among 6th-9th graders from Mordovia and Nizhny Novgorod region will be held, along with the round table “Spiritual and Moral Education based on Orthodox Traditions”.
