Archbishop Varlaam of Grozny and Makhachkala celebrated the All-Night Vigil and liturgy at the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery

During these days of Pascha in May, Vladyka Varlaam, Archbishop of Grozny and Makhachkala visited the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery.

In the evening, on the eve of the commemoration day of the Apostle Simon the Zealot, Vladyka Varlaam presided the All-Night Vigil in the Trinity Cathedral followed on the feast day itself by a prayer service with the akathist at the tomb with the relics of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov and the Divine Liturgy.

Archbishop Barlaam said in his archpastoral address that the Resurrection of Christ has the greatest power for everyone who believes in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This faith gives us the strength and ability to resist sin, because God has conquered death, destroyed hell, and showed to us His Divine light. He revealed the greatest mystery about Himself, i.e. that He is Love, that there can be no love apart from God. “We must always remain joyful and thankful, and if we fall into sin, we shouldn’t despair, but thank God, have strong faith and hope in the mercy and inexpressible love of God,” said Archbishop of Grozny and Makhachkala.
