The Queen of Heaven arranged the day of the celebration of the “Unquenchable Cup” Icon so that the Divine Liturgy in the Trinity Cathedral of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery was celebrated by the hierarch of the church. Bishop Sergiy of Borisoglebsk and Buturlinov visited the monastery.

The choir of freshman students of the Sretensky Academy under the direction of Seraphim Kukushkin sang during liturgy.

At the end of the service, Hegumenia Sergia, the abbess of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery, thanked His Grace for his prayers and congratulated him with the Pascha of the Lord.

In his archpastoral word, Bishop Sergiy  spoke of the importance of the Most Holy Mother of God for the salvation of the Christian race and reminded that the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov grew fond of the Queen of Heaven through his labors and the grace of God. He taught us to love Her fervently, to the point of tears.

Vladyka of Borisoglebsk presented the monastery with the the miracle-working  “Of the Sign” Icon of the Mother of God, a highly revered icon from his diocese located in the Borisoglebsk Cathedral Church.

After the liturgy, Vladyka Sergiy presided at a prayer service with akathist beside the tomb holding the relics of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov.
