A second Passia service was held in the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery today. It is a special evening service held on four Sundays of Great Lent.

The order of the service requires it to be served before the Crucifix placed in the middle of the church. According to tradition, the faithful pray during it holding lit candles.

The order of the Passia service helps the faithful to focus on the attainment of the spiritual heights and their perseverance during Lenten journey so that they would be worthily prepared to meet the great day of Pascha of the Lord, the Bright Resurrection of Christ.
