On July 24, the planning committee to organize celebrations of memorial days of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov at the Holy Trinity Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery on July 31-August 1 met in the archpastoral residence at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral Church in Nizhny Novgorod. Metropolitan Georgiy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas presided at the meeting. Nun Nikolaya (Borisova), the steward nun of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery, and nun Irina (Gopp), steward nun’s assistant, took part in the meeting.

Owing to the high-alert mode operating in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the festivities will be held in a format that does not allow the organization of mass events.
