On August 10, Bishop Filaret of Dalnekostantinovsk, the Vicary of the Diocese of Nizhny Novgorod served Sunday’s Vigil service at the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery.

There are eleven readings from the Gospels about Resurrection. They are read during Saturday’s Vigils one after another and tell about the resurrection of the Savior and His appearances to the women the myrrh-bearers and the disciples. The Church divides the Gospel’s message into eleven parts telling about Resurrection that is the Church’s life, breath, and foundation of Its faith.
