On the day of Holy Pentecost, the Nikolsky skete of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery ceremoniously celebrated its patronal feast.

At the beginning of the 19^th century, when the landlords Rakhmanovs, the owners of the village of Avtodeevo the skete is located, began the construction of a stone church, they appealed before the Emperor Alexander I to dedicate it to the feast of Transfiguration with the side altars commemorating Holy Righteous Zechariah and Elizabeth, their family’s heavenly patrons.

Then, a miraculous healing of a grievously ill woman, a resident of Avtodeevo, took place after she saw the Holy Trinity in a vision and received a message: “Come to my spring not far from Avtodeevo. Drink from it and thrice pour its water over you and you will be healed.” The woman did as directed and was healed. Following it, the landowners decided to dedicate a new church to the Holy Trinity.

Today, a festive cycle of services, including the Divine Litrugy with the paraklesis and water blessing prayer service, were held at the Nikolsky skete’s Trinity Church. Rev. Fr. Oleg Ziryanov of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery was the celebrant of the service.
