Patronal feast in the Dormition Church of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery
The Synaxis of the Saints of Diveyevo is the patronal feast of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery. Five years ago, the side chapel of the Dormition Church of the Annunciation Cathedral was consecrated in their honor. Archpriest Alexander Naumov, the clergyman of the monastery, celebrated a full daily cycle of festive services there, with the water blessing prayer service and the paraklesis to the Most Holy Mother of God served first.
The celebration of the Synaxis of All Saints of Diveyevo on the next day following the commemoration of Venerable Alexandra, the founder of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery, was established with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexiy II of Moscow and All Russia in April of 2008.
The festive services at the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery were also held at the Trinity and Kazan Cathedrals.
“You brought forth many stars, O Almighty God, and commanded them to brighten the darkness of the night, accepting the light-bearing community of the saints of the land of Diveyevo into the kingdom of the unseen glory and granting us the generous advocates. So we, feeling gratitude, cry out: O God-pleasing saints! Pray fervently for us that we may diligently please God, observe the Orthodox faith, and protect our homeland from sorrows and that all who honor you with love may be saved,” – we offered our prayers to all the saints who shone forth with their deeds in the land of Diveyevo.
