The Nativity of the Mother of God is a turning point of salvation of man. Man was born anew on this day. Not incidentally, the ecclesiastical year also begins on September 1/14.

On this day, the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery celebrates a patronal feast since the oldest monastery church built for the Community at the Mill was consecrated to Her Nativity according to the Queen of Heaven’s word.

The festive services began with the Vespers and the Akathist to the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God at the Trinity Cathedral followed by vigil services at the Trinity Cathedral and the Church of Nativity of Theotokos.

The liturgies, two served early in the morning with another at a later hour, were held at the Church of Nativity of Theotokos, the Trinity and the Transfiguration Cathedrals.
