A virtuoso pianist performed in Diveyevo

While on pilgrimage to the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery, Sergey Tarasov, a renowned virtuoso pianist, the winner of some of the most prestigious international competitions, Professor of Keimyung University (South Korea), gave a concert at the Diveyevo Village House of Slavic Culture.

“Tarasov turns music to pure gold. His talent overwhelms; it measures up to hundreds of carats of gold,” can be read in some of the professional reviews about Tarasov and his art.

In one of the interviews, Sergey Tarasov said that he is not particularly concerned with the earnings these days: it’s good when he is paid and it’s fine with him if he performs for free. He is free to do as he pleases. So, today his sonorous sound admired by music aficionados at famous concert halls has also won the audience in the modest corner of Russian countryside.

A superb duet of piano players Sophia Sakhnova and Antonina Luzko performed during the first part of the concert.

The musicians performed to the glory of God, out of love for the monastery and Father Seraphim.
