On July 1, Metropolitan Georgiy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas held a meeting with those in charge of the conservation of the ruined churches in the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese in the archpastoral residence at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Nizhny Novgorod. The conference was held online.

Hegumenia Sergia, the abbess of the Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery, took part in the meeting.

Vladyka Georgiy obliged the deans of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese, the rectors of churches and abbots of the monasteries to provide a monthly photo report on the results of the program of conservation of the ruined churches.

The conference participants reported to the ruling bishop about the work performed for the last six months and plans for the future. Among the measures taken are the preservation of windows, the installation of rafter system, roof sheathing, the roof and dome covering using metal roofing, the dismantling of decrepit domes, and the construction and installation of crosses.
