There are many springs in the vicinity of the village of Maevka. One of them is consecrated in honor of Archangel Michael. Today, on the day of commemoration of his miracle at Chonae, a water blessing prayer service was held at the spring.

This spring with a footbridge is enclosed in a pipe and has a chapel built nearby along with the veneration cross. The water pressure in the spring is so powerful a bucket is filled in a matter of seconds. Ice-cold water with healing qualities shimmers in the sun with all colors of the rainbow, is running through the rocks. It is a truly beautiful and blessed place.
