Day of remembrance of Venerable Martyrs Pelagia, Martha, Xenia, and Matrona of Diveyevo
The church is glorified through its saints since the martyrs were so firm in their love of God and their neighbor that they were ready to become witnesses of the Divine love before the whole world.
The Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery honored our holy predecessors on this memorable day of the consecration of the side church altar to Venerable Martyrs Pelagia, Martha, Zenia and Matrona of Diveyevo at the Kazan Cathedral. Vigil services were held at the Trinity and Kazan Cathedrals on the eve of the day of remembrance followed by two liturgies celebrated on the day of the feast. According to the rules of a patronal feast celebration, the Paraklesis service with the blessing of water was served before the late-morning liturgy at the Kazan Cathedral.
