The members of the Russian Orthodox Church’s Inter-Council Presence Commission on the organization of monastery life and monasticism met at the Metochion of the Seraphim-Diveyevo Monastery to discuss issues relating to monastic life. The Metropolitan Georgiy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, the chairman of the commission, presided at the meeting.

The commission discussed the following documents: “Regulation about monastic vows performed in theological schools,” “Monastics as parish priests,” “Practical aspects of monastery admissions and spiritual guidance of young novices,” “Monasteries and monastics, their relationship with the outside world through the prism of monastic vows.”

Abbess Sergiya, the Abbess of Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery participated at the meeting.
