“The Legacy of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov and the nation’s health” conference participants toured the Diveyevo monastery
On October 9, the second day of the conference “The Legacy of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov and the nation’s health,” the participants were offered a general tour of the Holy Trinity Seraphim-Diveyevo monastery. It took place after the Divine Liturgy at the Trinity Cathedral celebrated by Bishop Filaret of Dalnekonstantinov.
During the tour, the “St.Seraphim’s Doctor” competition participants viewed the interior of the monastery’s Trinity, Transfiguration, and Kazan Cathedrals and learned about their history. Besides, they visited the Dormition Church of the Annunciation Cathedral and learned about its mosaic compositions that bedeck its walls and vaults.
The tour of the monastery was part of a two-day conference “The Legacy of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov and the nation’s health” that commenced yesterday, on October 8. The conference brought together the participants of the 1st “St. Seraphim’s Doctor” competition organized since 2020 by the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov Charitable Foundation with the support from the Presidential Grants Fund. The competition is part of the program “With the name of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov” realized as part of the development of “Arzamas-Diveyevo-Sarov” pilgrim and tourist cluster.
